SALVATION—MIRACLE OF THE NEW BIRTH

When a person makes Jesus Christ the Lord of his life and is born again, he is changed in the innermost part of his being. Every person is a spirit, and has a soul [which is his mind, will, and emotions] and a body.

At the time of the new birth, the spirit becomes indwelt by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit. A person’s spirit, which was dead to God, now becomes alive unto Him. His spirit is full of God’s life. Therefore, for the first time, he has the ability to live a life without defeat!
