“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my ordinances, and do them. You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be my people, and I will be your God. (Ezekiel 36:26-27)
Millions
of people are in a daily struggle to keep the laws of God and they are loosing
the war because they do not understand the Father’s will and battle plan. His strategy could not be clearer and brief,
“I will put My Spirit within you,” says the Lord. And why is that His agenda? He wants to cause you, help you, and enable
you—to follow His ways, because He knows that alone, we cannot. He wants to make it easy to keep His laws,
commands, and instructions so He can bless you and have fellowship with you. You see, we cannot keep God’s commands
without His help. It is totally
impossible to succeed by yourself and He doesn’t expect you to. He just wants us to realize it. You need help! But to whom should you turn?
God the Father is in heaven and so is God the Son, now sitting at the
right hand of the Father. But God has sent and has come to us in the third
person of the Holy Spirit who dwells with us and in us as we ask Him to. He is the One you desperately need to
know.
The
moment the Holy Spirit becomes apart of your life. God will begin to look in your direction. He’s face will shine on you. The Father’s greatest desire is that you
receive Him, be filled with Him, and have fellowship with Him. It is His Spirit
who will reveal the Father and all He is and has done for us through Christ,
giving us understanding so we can live it out by faith, looking to Him to help
us, seeing us through to victory in every area of our lives!
Jesus said, “Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my
name, I will do it. If you love me,
keep my commandments. I will pray to
the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, [Counselor, Helper,
Intercessor, Advocate, and Comforter] that he may be with you forever,-- the
Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither
knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you. I will not
leave you orphans. I will come to you…. One who has my commandments, and keeps
them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my
Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him." (John
14:13-21)
Prayer for Today:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank
You for the gift of the Holy Spirit, Your indwelling presence so that we don’t
have to struggle and strain in life, but through what Christ did for us and for
all you have given to and declared to us in Your Word, we can live and enjoy
life and that life abundantly and victoriously by Your life-giving precious
Holy Spirit to Your glory, honor, praise and thanksgiving in Jesus’ mighty
name, Amen!
