Most consumer's definition of Debt Management is to hire a consulting firm or organization affiliated through Consumer Credit Counseling, who would be responsible to manage and pay your monthly obligations in a timely manner on your behalf.
Without clarity of a product or service, you create confusion. Therefore, a confused mind never makes a wise decision.
The real purpose for Debt Management is to create a very structured strategy to re-position your assets, reduce your expenses and become totally debt free years sooner. The American dream was once homeownership. This is no longer the case. Now, the American dream is to be free of all your debt obligations; to “owe no man nothing, but to love him.” Free from the bondage of debt, lack & poverty. Once you are free, you have more financial resources available to do more for God's kingdom in a special way. Such as help those in need.
Once you have conditioned yourself how to create wealth continuously, the issue of money to pay your bills on time is no longer an issue. Got the picture? Therefore, your credit will remain positive because your bills are always paid on time.
What is debt? Debt is anything that is owed to someone else. The debtor has lent or extended credit to a consumer for: money, goods, or services, with an agreement to repay such debt in the form of a monthly payment, or payment in full by a designated date. This is called the agreement [covenant].
When two (2) or more individuals agree and come into this covenant, it is binding by law. This debt will always remain as a debt, until it is paid. The agreement or covenant is in full force until the terms of the agreement are satisfied. If either part backs out, defaults, or refuses to fulfill their part of the agreement, they have broken covenant and are subject to the consequences per that agreement.
Every agreement the consumer make is a covenant, whether by their word or in written form signed by the consumer. When the consumer has accepted the extended credit, they have placed themselves into covenant, even if they didn't sign anything. Just by accepting the goods and services binds them, if they have in fact received the merchandise and utilized them.
Covenant speaks of one giving what one has as “a strength” to someone who needs that strengthening, in exchange for something they too need or desire.
When the consumer doesn't fulfill their part of the agreement, regardless the circumstances that causes or prevents them, they alone are responsible to satisfy that obligation, or to communicate with the other party to re-design the agreement, if they are willing or able to.
If the consumer does not uphold to their agreements, their future lenders [creditors] view them as a covenant breaker and may not be willing to take the risk to lend future funding, goods, or services, because the consumer has not shown [or demonstrated] their faithfulness or ability to keep their agreements, by making sufficient payments on time or fulfilling their obligations.
Accounts that report "Collections" or "Charge-off as Bad Debt" is evidence that the agreement [covenant] was broken and not fulfilled.
If you ask someone to remove a covenant obligation from your credit file, you are merely asking them to help you break that covenant. Because, if there's no appearance, the mind says there's no obligation. This behavior is not law, nor spiritual.
Ask yourself: Would you chance or risk giving that person your hard-earned money knowing [up front] that they are a covenant breaker? Or would you rather see that they are working towards becoming people of integrity [keepers of their word, promises, and agreements]?
Covenant is what man's relationship with God is established by. Man's condition was sin. Sin led to destruction and death. He covenanted to save us from sin [and the effects of sin which is death], and in return He gave us life, peace, joy, blessings, divine health [and healing], protection and safety, favor and blessings, prosperity [spirit, soul, and body], wealth and riches, mercy, strength, faith, endurance, perseverance, long life and eternal life to come, to them who would keep covenant with Him [agree with and walk in Him: His Will and Ways]. This is His strength. By accepting and meeting the conditions [or requirements of the agreement], that which He desires from us, we place ourselves into Covenant, and become beneficiaries of His promises [receive the manifestation of all He promised and gave "all that pertains to life and godliness" [Life and Blessings], the blessings, but if we choose not to Covenant with Him and refuse all He has provided and promised, then we are left to our own strength and are faced with sin and death [Death and Destruction], the curses.
This is why Trinity Debt Management Services exists. We understand in our society that "things" happen resulting from the lack of knowledge or sometimes rebelling against the right way of doing things, having dealt with people who are unethical [who exercise unethical practices] because the client is seeking to "get over" or "get the hook up", instead the consumer gets hooked and taken, which is a consequence [and apart of the curse], because they have not upheld or established a Covenant with God, who promised Wisdom to make wise decisions. The results: you are servant to the lender.
In the industry of debt management and credit restoration [commonly referred to as "credit repair"], too many companies have deceived the consumer leading them to believe information can just be deleted from their credit profile for a fee.
They mislead the consumer and have misrepresented themselves: trying to sell you something that you want [but the manner or method is illegal or accomplished through unethical means], making promises and guarantees of which they could not deliver, and if they do, it's temporary. Or if they were caught, would serve "jail" time.
Many advertise as "non-profit" organizations with "help at no cost". Read the article attached. This only means they don't pay taxes on the money they earn, but they do get paid. They have hidden the fees which are taken out of the client's monthly payment to the creditor. They are able to get away with this because the creditor agrees to extend the amortization of the loan [or debt]. Therefore, the counseling agency receives a percentage anywhere from 10%-15%. The creditor loves working with these types of agencies, because they are more likely to recover through this agreement, than by the defaulted consumer. They have designed it and want you to keep you in bondage for life. This is why you see so many debt management companies affiliated with the Consumer Credit Counseling segment and why creditors refer you to them when you are having problems making your payments. What these agencies don't tell you is that your creditor will report your accounts to the credit bureaus as a "consumer credit counseling" item: CCCS, which will report on your credit profile and remains for 7 years and is viewed no different than a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. During the 7 years period, future lenders are able to identify [see] that you needed a consumer credit counseling agency to pay your bills and will view you as an individual that is undisciplined and unable to manage your own finances and pay your own bills. This is not good!
