Welcome to Trinity's Learning Resource Center's Life Skills Enrichment Program Website.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable youth & family mentoring organization, providing "low-cost" after-school and evening class sessions in the areas of "Basic Life Skills, Life Planning & Preparation and Financial Literacy," Training, Education, and Mentorship; equipping youth 8+ years of age in the West Valley (Phoenix) Arizona area, to equip them for successful living; providing direction, promoting learning, developing skills, attitudes, and habits that lead to success in school, families, employment, and our communities, thus developing good citizens and leaders, combating juvenile delinquency and community deterioration, along with it’s Parent/Family Enrichment Workshops. more...
Equipping and preparing our children and youth in a highly competitive society is a must, and in order to fully equip and prepare them, as parents, we must recognize our responsibility to get them the help they need. Parents, can further guarantee your children’s success by participating in our Parent/Family Enrichment Workshops which assists parents in “Raising Successful Youth to Become Successful Adults”. While your youth are learning vital life skills that will ensure their success with you, their parents, in school with their instructors and peers, success in their communities through contribution, and success in their finances by understanding debt and credit management, you have the opportunity to learn and understand the most needful skills and strategies for being a successful parent in today’s turbulent society! Learn how to reconnect with your children/youth you learn the principles of success.
We are reaching out to assist in meeting the socioeconomic needs of the community by preparing these youth and families with life skills that will both enhance them, the workplace, and our communities.
There is a $25/Registration fee for program T-shirt & initial binder. All classes and session are at "no-cost" to enrollees as long as participants participate in our scheduled fundraisers to raise the $250/per student minimum for the program services.
These programs are preparing and equipping youth to be successful in all areas of living: starting out with “First things First”, how their attitudes shape their lives and determines their future successes; Discovering where they are now and where they want to go; getting organized from the bedroom to Backpack; How to prepare for and pass every test; Developing Communication Skills/Social Skills (how courtesy and teamwork determines how successful they will be as a family, in school, and on the job); Courtesy verses Disobedience; the importance of Personal Hygiene, Health & Nutrition; How to organize their space and time that will enable them to get more done, quicker, and in peace; How to shop for the best deals; How Money Works; Understanding Mutual Funds, IRA’s & Money Market Accounts; How to plan and prepare for a job interview, resume preparation, and how to prepare for and to reach their life goals; Bad Credit verses Good Credit; Jobs for Kids; Gang Awareness & Prevention; CPR / First Aid, and much more…
