“WHY BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES?”
For those who are concerned why a youth program would include Biblical Principles:
These program services are Biblically based because we have come to know and understand through experience, and studies have proven, that the wisdom of man to resolve the issues and challenges of life that leads to true success is limited. True and lasting success only comes from acknowledging God (as Creator) which has been revealed to man through the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God (given by prophets of old), and made manifest through Jesus Christ, God's Son. Christ demonstrated the power of love and new life God provided through His shed blood and is obtained by those who believe. Faith (believing, confident trust) in what Christ did on the Cross for ALL men, is the vehicle by which we receive all God has provided; all that pertains to life and godliness, new life and that life more abundantly. Faith is received by hearing what is possible. The Scriptures provide wisdom (principles for living) that lead to success.
As an example: For those who have been taken captive by the use and misuse of drugs and alcohol, many government supported programs seek to help these individuals. It has been confirmed that only such programs as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Teen Challenge have been truly successful. What is the difference between these two programs and the many others out there? They include the revealed knowledge of God and the principles He has set forth in His Word on how to live life successfully; Biblical Principles.
Even our government leaders recognize the fact of this success. And for this reason the “Faith –Based Initiatives” have been put into place. It has been demonstrated that faith-based organization programs are having successful results. It is because they are imparting to program participants the principles of right living as God sees it and has revealed it to man; love, honor, respect, and obedience. Learning of God's love for them, which empowers them to love, honor, respect, and obey.
Biblical principles provide accurate knowledge and understanding and gives us peace of mind and shuts the door to fear. Fear is the open door to every problem in life. It is fear that even causes one to question “Why Biblical Principles?” Fear brings torment, turmoil, and causes people’s responses to produce more fear. A mind filled with truth [accurate knowledge and understanding] produces love, peace, joy, and goodness which results in actions, attitudes and words that produce peace, joy, and good will.
This is what we desire and our society needs. Wouldn't you agree?
Here in the learning center, we provide children and youth the opportunity to learn that God loves them (as we demonstrate God's love in word and deed), and that He has a wonderful plan and future for them (encouraging them in that), and that as they receive all He has for them and learn to identify and overcome the influences that seek to hinder their success, they will grow in the good plan He has for them.
Listen to and read some of their testimonies (Students) and (Parents). Not everyone who comes to the center originally has this knowledge and understanding. Yet, once they have come with an open heart to experience the program, their families are touched by God and transformation begins so that they are experiencing restoration, healing, deliverance, and love in a new way, even while they are learning the basic life skills, life planning and preparation and financial strategies for successful living.
